Cooking Class at "Mix It Up Kitchen" in Duxbury with Mardi Gras theme!
Welcome to Mardi Gras season! We will welcome you with bead necklaces and festive masks at the front door of this fabulous cooking school right in the heart of Hall's Corner. We will then toast "2018" and the Sundowners with "The Hurricane Cocktail", a celebratory signature drink made with spiced rum, coconut rum and fruit juices. Yummy!! We have a perfectly delectable Mardi Gras Menu planned for you by our superlative and notable South Shore chef, Sarah Leahey-Benjamin. She happens to have worked with Chef Gordon Hammersley and other greats, written her own cookbook and run a wholesale business. Our appetizer is Cajun Crabcakes accompanied by cornbread, followed by sensational Shrimp Jambalaya over rice. The dessert is mouthwateringly good! We are having the traditional King Cake, an almond sponge cake laced with a rich chocolate swirl and a homemade white chocolate, banana and rum ice cream. A Christ child figurine will be tucked somewhere inside. Who will be the King or Queen of the evening and what will their privileges and obligations be? We will find out at this extraordinary mid-winter celebration! Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!) "Mix It Up Kitchen" is located at 19 Depot Street in Duxbury. The cost of this cooking class is $85 per person. The evening will last about 3 hours and is BYOB! If you are interested in joining us, and we do hope so, please RSVP to Victoria Babcock at firstname.lastname@example.org. Just two more spots!!!
